MMNZ is committed to a number of local and national events to raise awareness and
funding, and to provide an opportunity for interaction with the local community.
Mercy Walk
Thanks to all who participated in last years annual fundraising walk. With events
in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Nelson and Christchurch, Mercy Walk
‘07 raised over $30,000 – a great result!
Along with funds raised from the Walk, two very generous gifts, and an amazing
contribution from Toyota, we have been able to complete the property fencing project,
and purchase a brand new Toyota 12–seater van.
Mercy Walk ’08 will be held on 01 November, with Walks planned in Auckland, Hamilton,
Tauranga, New Plymouth, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin – so mark it in your diary now!

Parachute Festival
Parachute Music Festival 2008 was attended by over 27,000 people. Mercy’s involvement
included an awareness seminar, as well as an on–site tent to provide an environment
for people to learn more about the work of Mercy Ministries. Thanks to all who visited
us at Parachute – it was a great weekend, and fantastic to increase awareness and
support for Mercy Ministries in New Zealand.
Sistas Conference
Another key event for Mercy Ministries is the annual Sistas women’s conference;
attended by over 4,000 New Zealand women. Sistas supports Mercy Ministries each year
by establishing new partners and raising funds through creative initiatives. Visit

One Night with The King
The film, One Night With The King has been released in both Australia and New Zealand
in partnership with Mercy Ministries. The movie tells the story of Esther, her humble
beginnings as a young Jewish orphan and how God raised her up to be Queen only to
position her to risk her life to save her people from destruction.
Since 2004 Heritage HM has been involved in the release of films such as The Chronicles
of Narnia, The Nativity Story and most recently Amazing Grace. One Night With The King
continues the exciting advent of high quality faith–based entertainment screening in
cinemas around Australia and New Zealand with the vision to produce and distribute films
that move people towards God.
Heritage HM is partnering with Mercy Ministries New Zealand, to allow screening of the
film as a fundraising event. For further information please visit
