news_spring_caron Introducing... Caron Clerk
I have worked at Mercy Ministries New Zealand for a year heading up the counselling department – and have also been known to make the odd batch of date and bran muffins! I have a background in retail pharmacy but decided to pursue a counselling career in 2000, gaining my qualifications through Laidlaw College (formerly BCNZ). I then worked for six years at Lifeworks Counselling Centre seeing both individuals and couples. I love my work with Mercy Ministries and seeing God bring about healing and freedom in the lives of the beautiful young women who come through the doors of the Mercy Ministries home. The journey to this freedom is a difficult one and so I really value the prayer support that so many of you give. Thank You.

My leisure time is spent with my husband Peter, our daughters Rachael and Sarah and our Dalmatian dog Paris. I enjoy my time with friends, reading, walking (the dog), going to the gym, creative memories and cooking.

news_spring_bex Congratulations!
Congratulations to Rebecca Mockett, a Mercy Ministries graduate who has many reasons to celebrate!

Bex, who graduated from the Sydney Mercy Ministries home at the end of 2004, was admitted to the bar as a Barrister and Solicitor last month, a special occasion she shared with family and friends.

The admission ceremony happened soon after Bex got engaged – and she’s getting married in her home town of Hamilton this summer.

Bex graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland earlier this year, after five hard years of study, and now works as a Judges’ Clerk at the Auckland High Court.

Well done Bex – and all the best for your work and wedding plans!

Christmas is Coming...
It’s hard to believe we’re only a couple of months out from Christmas. With the warmer months coming, the Mercy Ministries Auckland home is in need of a BBQ and Outdoor Furniture.

We’d also like to give each of the girls in the home a Christmas present. If you’re able to help – or know someone who might be interested, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call the office on 09 443 7136.

Thanks again for all your support – and make sure you register for Walk ’08 – see you there!

Best Wishes,
mercy_m
